We at Chimaera Technologies want to thank you for your interest in the 1. However, we regret to inform you that the 1 and the company Chimaera Technologies, Inc. do not exist as portrayed by the contents of this website. We are a project team of four Pennsylvania State University students developing an idea for assignments in technical writing. The website, brochure, and [incomplete] operations manual are such assignments. The idea of the 1 was conceived by the group as the next step in personal digital communication, entertainment, and organization. Though there are currently no plans to develop the 1 beyond conception, we do strongly believe that technology should follow in this direction. To have a cell phone, music player, video player, camera, camcorder, personal digital assistant, web-browser, and other powerful technologies in one affordable and user-friendly hand-held device should be the goal of consumer electronics for this decade. Such devices would enhance livelihood, whether at work or at rest. Camera phones, mp3 cell-phones, portable entertainment & gaming consoles, and advanced communication platforms are all worthwhile devices. However, they are not adequate for most consumers. We need one product that does it all. We at Chimaera Technologies invite anyone with the creative spirit and a passion for life-enhancing products to incorporate our ideas with their own and continue to develop such ideas to fruition.
